Chinese Rhubarb

Chinese rhubarb, also called Turkey Rhubarb, or Rheum palmatum or Da Huang, has been used for thousands of years in herbal formulas. Uses for Rhubarb are documented in the Divine Husbandman's Materia medica, written over 2,200 years ago. It was given its Latin name by the famous “Father of Taxonomy” Carolus Linnaeus in 1759 and brought to British botanical gardens around 1762.
